After serving as teachers in the Peace Corps in the Marshall Islands from 1970 to 1972, my husband and I dreamed of returning to the Pacific islands. In 1986, we moved to the Big Island from the Olympic Peninsula in Washington. We chose to live in upcountry Hamakua where the air is cool and rolling green hills dotted with trees slope towards the blue Pacific Ocean. We built our home with solar electric and water catchment systems and planted an orchard and timber. Our son and daughter were raised here and both graduated from Hawaii Preparatory Academy. Over the years I’ve enjoyed keeping and riding horses, snorkeling, stargazing, and gardening.
My work and interests take me to wonderful places all over the Big Island. With its amazing diversity of climate, vegetation, scenery and topography Hawaii Island feels more like a small continent. I have been active in several organizations which focus on public access and open space issues, including the Save Our Lands Citizens Committee, which conducted a successful ballot initiative campaign which made it possible for the people of Hawaii County to secure treasured lands for future generations.
I am proud to have been with the same real estate company since 1987 (Bradley Properties, Ltd., which became Clark Realty). It is the largest and the top-producing real estate company specializing in Hawaii Island properties. More importantly, the company’s professional standards and the integrity of our management team and agents are unsurpassed. I will gladly put my enthusiasm and knowledge to help you purchase or sell a property.
